Mandi B: What a great experience! To begin, I am no stranger to exercise or working out, but gaining muscle in my arms was not something that I ever thought would happen. This is where trainer Dan steps in! After 4 weeks (45 min, 2x a week) I have built genuine muscle in my arms. No kidding I have some of the scrawniest arms ever… but now there’s a lil muscle on my chicken wings! My abs and legs have gained definition and strength as well. Each visit was a different work out of strength training, toning and sculpting various muscle groups. Attention is paid to balance and core in a lot of the exercises. We used free weights, resistance bands, medicine balls… You name it, we worked with it! Dan keeps you moving at a nice pace, with water or stretch breaks whenever needed. He makes sure you are doing each move properly so as to get the most out of each movement while not injuring yourself. Another bonus, if something hurts or you’re having clicking or popping in a joint or muscle, Dan knows a move/stretch that will help. It was honestly a fantastic experience that was tailored to the individual. My bf has a hard time keeping his hands off me even more than before. Thanks Dan!!

Not only have I had other personal trainers in the past, I am also a seasoned chiropractor and certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). So when I was searching for a new trainer, I wanted someone who new even more than I did. That’s when I got introduced to Dan Siegel at Peak Performance in August of 2008. It’s functional training at it’s finest. Body weight, balance, bands, kettlebells, etc… they use functional movement to produce strength that I never thought was possible for myself. They have showed that you could be in the best shape of your life at any age.

Workouts with Tony are never the same, are always challenging, and Tony’s knack and knowledge allow him to customize the workout to your own personal needs which in turn also makes them enjoyable. Unlike many facilities with row upon row of machines and electrical equipment, Peak and Tony’s personalized “one on one” approach utilizes free weights, conditioning/fitness ropes, straps, bands, medicine balls, TRX systems, using your own body weight to challenge even the seasoned client… equipment and technique easily duplicated at home allowing one to continue their progress even away from the facility… The individually personalized direction Tony gives to diet planning and workout routine are what make this trainer and Peak Performance AZ number one in my book.

I have had personal training through LA Fitness and the level of service compared to the price I paid was no comparison to the training I have received at Peak Performance. I Drive Over 50 Miles round trip to Train with Tony

The best testimonial I can give to Tony Rice’s training capability is that I am willing to drive over 50 miles round trip from far northeast Mesa to 38th and Indian School to work out twice a week!!. I started out with a Living Social coupon and was only going to do that and learn the exercises so I could do them on my own. After the 4 weeks time was done I told my husband there was no way in the world I would push myself to exercise like Tony does. I was not in stellar condition when I started and lagged behind everyone else in the class. I’m now doing the entire circuits (some things I would never have dreamed possible) and loving every minute of it. The small group class model is extremely effective as it makes workouts fun and challenging with classmates who have the same goals (although certainly not same abilities). Even though the class may be doing the same exercises, Tony makes sure each member is pushing to their own capacity. Tony has added nutritional and home workout challenges to enhance the gym workouts that strongly enhance personal accountability I have now been making this trek for 7 months and plan on continuing to do so as long as Tony continues training.

I started training here with Tony back in October 2011. I had tried out a couple personal trainers before him but they weren’t the right fit for me. Tony is amazing, knowledgeable, professional and just an all-around fun great guy! He will help you with your goals and adapt the workouts to your level of fitness no matter what shape you are currently in. Since I am a very social person, I signed up to do the group sessions. The people I have met are all very nice and Tony is able to mold the class to fit everyone’s fitness level. He even works with your nutrition and gives you suggested meal plans. I can’t recommend him enough. Even my friends have noticed the change in my physique which I owe solely to him. Sadly I will be moving to LA soon and I am extremely worried I will not be able to find another trainer as qualified and awesome as Tony.

Over the past five years I have been training with Tony multiple times a week. Prior to working out with Tony, I had been working out for many years and my workout routine was monotonous and boring. At times, I kept doing the same workout and didn’t know how to challenge myself. My husband was already training with Tony for sometime and he persuaded me to give Tony a try. I had seen the results my husband was getting, but I was still reluctant. I went to some of Tony’s group sessions and immediately got energized with his workouts. Tony incorporates a variety of exercises and different approaches to achieve maximum results. He really challenges you! No 2 workouts have been the same. His group classes are challenging and fun! Shortly after working out with Tony, I found out I was pregnant with my second child. Tony put together a customized prenatal program for me, which we did 3 times a week. I got to use weights, TRX and my own body weight, which Tony incorporated, into numerous exercises to keep things fresh and challenging. Through my prenatal workouts with Tony, I was able to maintain a healthy weight gain and have tons of energy during my pregnancy. I am amazed at the time and attention to detail Tony puts in with each of his clients to ensure they achieve their desired results. He is phenomenal!
