             Trigger Point Therapy

Many of us want to get in shape, but it hurts to exercise. A few trigger point therapy sessions can help prepare your body for fitness training. Trigger points are areas within a muscle that have become hyper-contracted, either through injury or repetitive stress. These points can impede range of motion, hinder strength, and cause pain in the muscle or in the adjacent joint. Trigger Point Therapy is the practice of locating and pressing into these points in order to release them, relieving pain and restoring range of motion and strength.    Myofascial Release 

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds each muscle and connects muscle to bone (tendon). Fascia also surrounds and protects vital organs. This connective tissue is considered “the organ of structure” as it is contiguous  throughout the entire body. When the fascia becomes twisted or damaged the effect is postural misalignment and referred pain. Myofascial Release is the practice of re-aligning the fascia through massage and very specifically applied stretching.
